Awareness Session on Right to Information (RTI)

The Staff Development Centre of the University of Vavuniya organized an awareness session on the Right to Information (RTI). The session took place on 30th November 2022, from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. It was held at the Faculty of Technological Studies, Pambaimadu. Selected administrative and non-academic staff attended.

Ms. Nilakshy Thavarajah, Branch Manager of Transparency International Sri Lanka in Vavuniya, served as the resource person. Staff took an active part in group discussions and interactive learning. They gained knowledge about the functions of RTI, the RTI Act, the RTI Commission and the activities of Transparency International Sri Lanka. Participants also learned the steps to follow when making an RTI request.
