The IRC is leading the advancement of scholarly activity, primarily through collaborative research/study such as developing and delivering methods, models, tools, techniques, policies, processes or operational guidance or instruction, service, and outreach as components of equal importance. This includes creative endeavours such as problem-solving think tank activities in closely related academic areas. As our motto of “Wisdom Restrains and Guides in Way of Good” (நன்றின்பால் உய்ப்பது அறிவு; ප්රඥාව යනු යහපත් චේතනාවෙන් ජීවත් වීමයි; ප්රඥාව විසින් දමනය කර යහපත් මාර්ගවල මඟ පෙන්වයි), the IRC would excel in the innovative, appropriate but reliable multi-disciplinary (inter and intra discipline) research (both fundamental and applied) and coordination activities beyond the scope of single discipline and promote interdisciplinary work and would actively empower collaboration for delivering sustainable development of the region and nation”. More…on international partnerships
The rate of internationalization is growing rapidly all over the world, with unhindered communication channels and inexpensive travel. International relationship in higher education is important since its leads to innovations in knowledge, the free exchange of ideas, and enduring bonds between institutions and industries. Universities across the world are seeking to make the most of the possibilities by forming global partnerships and fostering relationships with other institutions. International Research Centre would provide science and technology related research and academic advice for the International Division and work closely when they negotiate, develop long-term and sustainable collaborative activities for all disciplines of the University and support International Division on planning, managing, and promoting international relations with foreign universities, research institutes, Consulates/Embassies, industries, and other networks. The UoV believes and hopes that with the partnership and collaboration with the national and international partners, the appropriate, applied, state of the art and cutting-edge teaching, research, innovation, incubation, enterprise, and other scholarly activities can be built, based on STEM+HEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics + Humanities, Economics, Management) fields. These collaborations would improve students, staff, and communities’ know-how to contribute to socio-cultural, etho(s)-economics, natural/built environmental and politico-legal development.
