On January 26, 2025, the Vavuniya Divisional Secretariat organized a 10KM cross-country race at Kudijirupu Kulam Park, starting at 6:00 AM. The University of Vavuniya was proudly represented by four dedicated students. Among them, Ms. R. Gowshiya achieved an impressive second place in the women’s category, showcasing her exceptional talent and determination. Meanwhile, Mr. M. Thilagan finished strong at eighth place in the men’s category, contributing to the university’s spirited participation in the event. Their performances not only reflect their hard work and commitment but also highlight the vibrant sporting culture at the University of Vavuniya.
