SWIMMING
The first round of the Sri Lanka Universities Sports Association Inter-University Swimming Championships 2024 took place on the 30th of November and the 1st of December at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The University of Vavuniya had a team consisting of six men and one woman, who participated with great enthusiasm and determination. Although no team members secured any podium places, they showcased commendable performances across various events. Notably, D.S.M. Sithun Hirushanka distinguished himself by earning Colors for his outstanding performance in the 50m freestyle and Half Colors for the 50m backstroke, marking a significant achievement for both him and the university in this prestigious championship.
