The University Grants Commission had initiated the establishment of Staff Development Centres in all Universities to undertake the activities which provide opportunities for growth and career development of all categories of staff by facilitating the acquisition of post- recruited qualifications for confirmation and promotion; service specific advanced knowledge and skills through in-service training and the knowledge of current global trend towards their sustainability in the career which would uplift the quality of the nation.
