The Workshop on “Preventing Sexual & Gender Based Violence” was held on 29th January 2020 from 9.00 pm – 04.00 pm to both faculty selected eighty students at Technology Building Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna, Pambaimadu,Vavuniya in collaboration with Center for Gender Equity and Equality of the University of Jaffna. Prof.Meena Senthilnanthanan Director, Centre for Gender Equity and Equality, Dr.S.Rajumesh member of the Education & Research Committee of the CGEE and Dr.Malavi Sivakanesan & Mr.Sharif Mahdi resource person from the INGO’s served as the resource persons for this Workshop. Students gained more knowledge about the GEE, SGBV in general life, healthy living, CGEE functions and election procedures. The Students actively participated and had the opportunity to share their experiences and issues related to GEE and SGBV as individual and Groups.
