The Workshop on “Academic Writing” was held on 26th February 2020 from 9.00 am – 12.00 noon to Academic staff (Permanent & Temporary) at Balakrishnan Block, Faculty of Business Studies, Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna. Prof. K.B.Mangala Fonseka Retd.Senior Professor, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, served as the Resource person for this workshop. Participants gained more knowledge about Academic (scholarly) writing, the components of Academic writing, writing style and informal Vs formal words usage in Academic writing. The participants had the opportunity to work as team and expressed their views of how to present an academic/ research work in writing.
