The Workshop on “Student Counselling & Mentoring” was organized by the Staff Development Centre, University of Vavuniya on 24th April 2024 from 01.30 pm to 04.30 pm at the Smart Lecture Hall Faculty of Applied Science, University of Vavuniya to Academic and other relevant staff.
Dr. Poongothai Selvarajan, Senior Lecturer in Management, Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya served as the resource person for this workshop. A total of 29 participants participated under this session. Participants greatly benefited from this workshop, gaining insights into the importance of guidance and counseling among students, particularly in universities. They learned about the counseling process itself and acquired valuable mentoring skills. The interactive nature of the session proved instrumental in helping participants address their practical difficulties effectively.
