Annual General Meeting-2021

The 4th Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Vavuniya
The Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Vavuniya was held online on the 09th of October 2021 from 7.00pm to 8.45pm via the Zoom platform.
The event started at 7.00pm with the lighting of the virtual oil lamp by the guests. Next the branch counselor Mr.T.Kartheeswaran delivered the welcome speech. Next to the former secretary read the minutes of the past AGM-2020. After that the Vice-chancellor of the University Of Vavuniya, Dr. T. Mangaleswaran gave a speech, and then the selection of the new Executive members was held under the supervision of Dr.Sanath Jayawardana Former IEEE Chair – 2017/18, And Senior Lecturer from the University of Moratuwa.
After the nomination of the new executive members, Dean of the Faculty of Applied science Dr. (Mrs). A. Nanthakumaran gave her speech. The speech of our guest Dr.Sanjeeva Witharana was followed after the dean’s speech. Then the Dean of the Faculty of Technology delivered his speech and a photography session with the guests was followed up. A game session on the Kahoot platform was held after the photography and then the welcoming speaker Indrajith Ekanayake, section lead at IEEEXtreme 15.0 delivered his speech. Finally, the event was winded up with the vote of thanks from the newly elected student branch chair.
