The Jaffna International Rating Chess Championship was held from December 8th to 12th, 2023, at Chelva Palace, Kokuvil, Jaffna. The Sri Lankan Chess Federation and the Jaffna District Chess Association worked together to organize it. Nine students from the University of Vavuniya represented and won places in two categories.
