University of Vavuniya Vacancy 2024 – Apply by 6th December
The University of Vavuniya, Sri Lanka, is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for two important positions. Post A: University Medical Officer (On Assignment)
The University of Vavuniya is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Officer to serve on assignment. In particular, this role suits a qualified medical professional who wants to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the university community. Moreover, the university offers a stable and supportive working environment for the right candidate.
Qualifications
To qualify for this post, applicants must hold a Medical Degree from a recognized university along with a minimum of three years of experience as a Medical Practitioner. Additionally, the university will consider Retired Medical Officers for appointment if no suitable active candidates come forward.
Terms of Appointment
The university will make the initial appointment for a period of six months. After that, the university may extend the contract for a further period based on performance and institutional requirements.
Salary
The university offers a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 103,000.00 per month for this position.
Post B: Instructor in Computer Technology (On Contract)
In addition to the Medical Officer post, the University of Vavuniya is also recruiting an Instructor in Computer Technology on a contract basis. Specifically, the university will place the successful candidate in the Department of Physical Science, Faculty of Applied Science. As a result, this position offers a rewarding opportunity for candidates who hold a strong background in computer technology and want to contribute directly to undergraduate education.
Qualifications

Salary
The fixed monthly salary for this position is Rs. 50,625.00 per month. In addition to the basic salary, all allowances approved by the University Grants Commission will also be paid.
Method of Recruitment
Selection for both positions will be conducted through a formal interview process. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview date and venue by the university.
