Prof. Ganesh Rajah, Professor and Executive Director of the Center for Executives and Professional Development, London, UK, and Advisory Board Member of the University Business Linkages (UBL), visited the University of Vavuniya from January 17th to 26th, 2025. During his visit, Prof. Rajah supported UBL development activities and provided valuable documentation and consultation.
His visit included visits to various institutions, including District Secretariats, and the Vanni regions (Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, and Mannar). Prof. Rajah conducted several consultation sessions on Entrepreneurship and Economic Development with key organizations such as IDB, SED, NEDA, NPS, NCC, EDB, NDC and Ministry of Science and Technology.
In addition, Prof. Rajah engaged in discussions with the Governor of the Northern Province regarding the SME sector, industrial development, and the limitations hindering progress in these areas. He also visited several startup companies in the Vanni Region, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor, Director of UBL, and the ESBM Coordinator of the University of Vavuniya.
