A. Tree Plantation Program

The Landscape Division runs the tree plantation program at the University of Vavuniya in collaboration with faculties, societies (ENSOC, Department of Biological Science), student unions and external organizations. These partners include the Department of Forest, the Marutham Pasumai Movement and the Green Layer Environmental Organization.

In addition, individuals, groups and organizations can plant trees on the university premises through the donation program, whether as a remembrance, a celebration or a retrospective.

The Landscape Division carries out every plantation according to the master plan and maintains the planted trees afterwards.

B. Workshop

The Landscape Green Environment Committee (LGEC) organizes workshops and programs on landscape and horticultural practices. These activities follow the strategic plan and help the university achieve its environmental targets and goals.
