The Second International Research Conference of the University of Vavuniya, Vavuniya University International Research Conference 2023 (VUIRC 2023), was held on 17th November, 2023, under the theme of “Converging research scopes for liveable initiatives and paradigm shifts”. VUIRC 2023 has called for extended abstracts from research scholars under eight conference tracks. Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Rath (Director, CSIBER, Kolhapur, India) and Dr. Nanda Nanthakumar (CEO & Chief Scientific Officer, A9 Health Inc., USA) participated as the keynote speakers in the VUIRC 2023. A panel discussion under the topic of “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping the Future of Research: Transforming Academic Researchers in the Modern Era” was organized. Prof. S. Vasanthapriyan (Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka), Prof. A.S. Karunananda (University of Moratuwa), Dr. S. Kirushanth (University of Vavuniya), Jothi Periasamy (University of California, Lead Instructor & Chief Data Scientist) and Dr. M. Kadirkamanathan served as the panel members. There were five technical sessions, which were conducted in hybrid mode.
