The University Business Linkage (UBL) of the University of Vavuniya organized a Business Idea Presentation and Discussion on February 8, 2025, in collaboration with Dr. Nithiyananthan from Radnam Foundation, UK. The event, held at the IT Centre Board Room, aimed to support local entrepreneurs by providing seed funding opportunities for business expansion.
Twelve entrepreneurs from various sectors, including agriculture, garments, food production, and manufacturing, presented their business ideas. Each presentation covered business models, target markets, and growth strategies, followed by a Q&A session. Dr. Nithiyananthan provided constructive feedback on financial planning, market expansion, sustainability, operational efficiency, and technology integration. Entrepreneurs were requested to submit refined business summaries for further evaluation and potential funding. Dr. Nithiyananthan expressed commitment to supporting eligible businesses.
The event concluded with a group photograph, marking a successful engagement. This initiative provided valuable mentorship and funding opportunities, reinforcing UBL’s efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive economic growth in the region.
