The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Vavuniya organized its 1st Certificates Awarding Ceremony on 30th June, 2024 (Sunday) at 9.00am at the Faculty of Technological Studies.. Seventy students, who successfully completed their Certificates and Advanced Certificate courses, have been awarded on this day. The relevant particulars are as follows;
Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management – 24 students
Advanced Certificate in Women Empowerment in Politics – 18 Students
Advanced Certificate in Media Literacy and Journalism – 28 Students
The ceremony procession was started from the main Round About of the University of Vavuniya, Pambaimadu Premises. The Vice Chancellor, Council members, Deans of Faculties, Director, Deputy Registrars, Academic Coordinators, Course Coordinators, Resource Persons, and the students have participated in this procession. Parents and current students were also invited to takepart in this ceremony.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya, Professor. Thambu Managaleswaran reading cards and awarded the certificates and advanced certificates. The Director of the CDCE, Mr.S.A.Jude Leon and the Director of the Harmony Centre, Mrs.Mathivathani Sasitharan read out the names of the awardees.
