The Career Guidance Unit at the University of Vavuniya organized a Fulbright Session on March 18, 2024, specifically aimed at fourth-year and third-year students of the University of Vavuniya, as well as academic staff. The session featured esteemed guests Executive Director Dr. Patrick Macnamara and Ms. Sabitha George, Student Adviser/EducationUSA, from the United States – Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC).
This session provided a valuable opportunity to equip our students and academic staff with essential information about pursuing higher education in the United States. The Fulbright Commission is dedicated to offering Fulbright awards and providing EducationUSA advising services to Sri Lankan students. As part of their commitment to assisting prospective students, they conduct informational sessions covering various aspects such as U.S. university admission requirements, university/college selection, application procedures, details on standardized tests (SAT/ACT/GRE/GMAT/TOEFL), scholarship opportunities, and more.
