Inter-University Football Championships-2024 of Sri Lankan University Games 2024 (SLUG-2024) was held from 27th to 29th September 2024, Organized by University of Vavuniya at the University Playground with the support of Sri Lanka Universities Sports Association (SUSA).
The tournament was ceremonially inaugurated by Prof. Arulampalam Atputharajah- the Vice Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya with the presence of the Registrar Mr. N. Rajavisahan, Chairman of the Sports Advisory Board Dr. M. Kayanan, Coordinator of Physical Education Mr. R. Sivasegaran, the staff members of the University of Vavuniya and the teams represented by the universities and their representatives.
After the successful completion of the tournament the awarding ceremony was held on 29th September 2024 around 5.00 PM along with the presence of the Vice Chancellor, University of Vavuniya and the winning teams were awarded as follows:
- Champion – South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.
- Runner up – Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
- 2nd Runner up – Eastern University of Sri Lanka.
The tournament was successfully organized by the Physical Education Unit of the University of Vavuniya along with the support of the organizing committee and other staff members of the University.
