Inter University Karate Championship organized by the University of Colombo under the supervision of the Sri Lanka Universities Sports Association (SLUSA) on 2nd 3rd and 4th December 2022 at the Indoor Gymnasium, University of Colombo.
There were 08 students (03 male & 05 female) represented the University of Vavuniya to the Inter University Karate Championships.
At the Tournament, Mr. Salitha Dilshan Mendis (2020/ASB/099) of the Faculty of Applied Science, University of Vavuniya won the First place at the below 67kg weight category of Kumite event.
This is the First win of the University of Vavuniya at a Inter University Sport Tournament. It is a historical occasion to the Sports in University of Vavuniya. The Physical Education Unit congratulates to Mr. Salitha for his performance.
