The selection trail to select the combined university Netball team was held on 14th of February 2024 at the University of Colombo. There were four students from the University of Vavuniya Netball team and 28 students from other government universities who participated in this selection.

In the first round of selection, two students, Ms. G.A.S. Garusingha and Ms. T. Tharsini from the University of Vavuniya, have been selected in the best of 17. In the final round, Ms. G.A.S. Garusingha has been selected for the combined university Netball team to participate in the Inter Association Netball Tournament 2024 organized by the Sri Lanka Netball Association, which will be held on 2nd & 3rd March 2024, at the Torrinton Ground, Colombo.
