On the final day of the academic year, the students of the Computer Science and Information Technology (2019/2020 Batch – 4th Year) at the Faculty of Applied Science, University of Vavuniya, participated in a meaningful tree plantation with the staff of the Faculty, the students planted Delonix regia, commonly known as the Flame Tree, as part of the “Donation Program – Tree Plantation” organized by the Landscape Division.
This event not only aimed to enhance the university’s green environment and landscape but also served as a heartfelt remembrance of the time spent at the Faculty by the students. The tree planting activity reflects a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, fostering a sense of community and responsibility among students and faculty alike.
As the Delonix regia matures, it will stand as a lasting symbol of the students’ growth during their academic journey, while also contributing to the ecological well-being of the university campus.
