The workshop was hosted by the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Committee (SPMC) of the University of Vavuniya on the 23rd of September, 2022, from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm, at Renaham Hall, A9 Road, Thandikulam, Vavuniya, to prepare the university’s strategic plan for the period of 2023–2027. Prof. Gamini Senanayake, Emeritus professor and chairman of the council for agricultural research policy in Sri Lanka, led the workshop as a resource person. The vice-chancellor of the University of Vavuniya, SPMC committee members, academic administrators, executive staff, professors, faculty board external members, and council members participated in this workshop. The participants actively collaborated with the resource person and worked together to review and develop the existing strategic plan of the university of Vavuniya.
